Egg Heist

Egg Heist is a free online steal-and-collect tycoon game. Run out of your base, grab an egg from a nest, and race it home before the zone's guardian catches you. Put each egg you get home down anywhere in your garden. It hatches into a pet that wanders around (some fly), and every pet earns money for you every second, even while you go out for the next egg.

There are ten zones along one long road: Meadow, Frost Peak, Lava Rocks, Desert Dunes, Jungle Ruins, Coral Beach, Mushroom Forest, Candy Hills, Crystal Cave and Moon Base. Each one has its own guardian, from a Big Hen and a Snow Yeti to a Giant Crab and a Moon Robot, and its own two pets, from Common Leafbeak up to the Secret Cosmo Cat. Each zone needs a certain speed before you can steal there, so train on the treadmill in your base. There are eight treadmills to unlock, from the basic one to Lava, Thunder and Rainbow, and each one trains you faster.

Every egg is different. Rarer eggs are bigger, and each egg also rolls its own size, shown as a weight: a Huge egg earns much more but slows you down while you carry it. Now and then an egg comes out Silver, Golden or Rainbow, and its pet earns extra. The rarest eggs glow so you can spot them from far away.

Your garden starts with room for three pets. Walk to the green signs to buy more pet space (up to ten) and a better treadmill. Three computer rivals run around the same field and steal eggs too, and now and then one will sneak into your base and grab a pet. Tag the thief to get it back, or step on the blue circle to lock your base for 30 seconds. You can steal from their bases as well. Every five minutes night falls for a few seconds: the gate to the zones closes, everyone is sent home, eggs at home hatch 30 times faster, and at sunrise every nest in the zones gets a fresh egg.

On a computer, run with WASD or the arrow keys, or drag with the mouse. On a phone, turn it sideways and drag anywhere on the screen. A red arrow always shows what to do next. Your money, speed and pets are saved on your device, and your pets keep earning a little while you are away. It plays right in your browser with no download.
